Details: McQuade’s Marketplace has two grocery stores located in Rhode Island and one located in Mystic, Connecticut. Because one of the RI based stores is located on the border of CT it presented a unique issue for their pickup catering division. They needed an eCommerce shopping cart that would calculate state taxes based on the pickup location, not on the shopper's location, as many shoppers from CT shopped in the RI store and vice versa. The solution was to switch their online shopping cart to one that could handle the tax calculations. The eCommerce shopping cart we chose for them was GetHoneyCart, which allowed for this tax situation. Since switching, their online catering orders have tripled.
