Personal Journey

Julie’s work on Spoonie Day is deeply personal. After being diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS), she channeled her expertise and experience into creating a tool that would empower others facing similar challenges to live their best life.

She developed the app in collaboration with her husband Rob Blackburn, a software architect, combining their technical skills and personal insights to create a meaningful solution for the chronic illness community.
